My Cobalt is in the mail and I will be doing an “unboxing” of sorts when it arrives. As you know from my extensive coverage of the card, this is one of the most exciting cards out in Canada due to the very generous multipliers for food and grocery purchases.
Given that most people I know are planning on getting this card, I thought I would share a way in which you can save/earn yourself $50.
Great Canadian Rebates
For those that don’t know, Great Canadian Rebates (GCR) is a cash back site that rewards you for clicking on their links prior to making an online purchase.
The way it works is that GCR makes money for referring customers to vendor and they slide you a good portion of that rebate. They make a little bit of money and the consumer gets the majority of it. It’s a great symbiotic relationship.
If you want to read more about it, you can refer to my article on Cash Back sites and how to use them.
The Deal
If you click on the GCR link and get approved for the Cobalt card, you will pocket $50 from GCR. I have personally applied through this method and while I am still awaiting the rebate to post, I am confident that it will, much like the rebates associated with the MBNA Alaska Card rebates.
The Link
If you want to support the PointsNerd blog, please use the link below. You will still receive your full $50 rebate, but the site will earn a little bit as well.
