So after 6 months of writing this blog, I have gotten quite a few requests from local Calgary readers to have an event.  I have finally gotten around to fulfilling that request.

Join me and 40 of my closest Travel Hacking enthusiasts for what I hope to be the first of many PointsNerd Meetups.  It should be an event of fun and networking.

The plan is to walk through an award search so you can see hands on how I do it while giving you a chance to follow along.  If you RSVP early enough, I will send you a “what to bring” checklist so you can have the right software for the session.

There will also be a Question and Answer session where you can pepper me with your questions.

Please note that due to space limitations, only the first 40 people will be able to attend the event so register early at https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/pointsnerd-meetup-tickets-34040535157.  As the event is being held at a venue that serves alcohol, unfortunately, you must be 18 or older to attend.  I just confirmed with the venue that kids are indeed allowed so feel free to bring them.

Oh, and did I forget to mention that the event is FREE?!?!?!

Hope to see you there!

  1. We sure don’t get enough of these types of seminar in Canada and even less so in Calgary so it’s definitely great to see this meetup happening 🙂 Look forward to learning something new.

  2. Seems there are probably more than 40 people that may have interest. Are you going to live stream this or perhaps allow a download of the presentation later on ?

    • Timbo, that’s a bit of a “we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it question”. We currently have the capacity to accept about 14 more attendees, and if we really need to can probably stretch to 50. The way I envision this going, it might be difficult to stream it or make it available because it’s gong to be a pretty fluid presentation and question and answer period.

That being said, you’re not the first to ask about it so let me look into the options. Cheers

      Jayce
